Default 9mm PPU Ammo ejection issue

just wanted to post my observations on using PPU 9mm ammo in my FS9 M&P (often found at walmart)

after shooting 300 rounds of each this is what I found:
9mm 115gr FMJ Winchester White Box shoots and ejects fine @ 4 pm position
9mm 115gr FMJ Remingtom shoots and ejects fine @ 4 pm position
9mm 115gr FMJ PPU brass ejects straight up @ 12:30-1pm position

PPU ejects fine but just not with the same energy or in the right direction and hits you in the head a good bit of the time.

looking at PPU brass next to other brass, there seams to be a bit wider spacing of the forward side of the groove so im guessing maybe that's why its not ejecting to the side properly. the ammo still shoots and works great it just doesn't eject the same as other ammo.

this post isn't to slam PPU but just a FYI in case someone is using PPU ammo and thinks they have an ejector issue, it could just be the ammo your using.

Ejection problems are common with cheap 9mm ammo these days
because most of it, domestic and imported, is so underloaded it barely
has enough energy to cycle the action on most autos.

Bingo!! Handguns are sprung for a certain range of ammo, usually defensive grade and not "mouse fart" stuff. To spring it lighter for range fodder would cause the gun to self destruct with hot defensive ammo. I have seen this happen when morons install a light 13 - 14 lbs. spring in a 1911 made for wadcutters & then they proceed to shoot 230 full bore hardball. The bowtie area of the frame gets beat to Hell and ruins the gun. If someone wants lower recoil then get a handgun designed for it or get an aftermarket recoil spring for creampuff loads.

Stay away from PPU, that ammo is garbage.
