Default Another WalMart "Heads-up" if you will.

On todays visit, I was shocked-nay-lightning-zapped kind of shocked--when I saw their shelves bulging with all the popular rounds of ammo-except--you guessed it--.22 lr.

I found 100 round packs of Winchester 9mm (or this)

in abundance on their shelves. I have not seen these at this particular Wm ever.

Well, the counter guy told me that their computer system is undergoing changes so the app--or whatevere its called? may or may NOT--be telling the truth when its checked=for ammo availability. I dont know if hes blowing a smoke screen or not? but--he said that none of the usual morning crowd was there except one guy--you guessed it--the Indian.

Anyway, I got this for less than $25-tax and all. The sad part of it was--I could have had all 10 boxes available (since the seller has a bit of sympathy for me and my 99% ammo misses there) and said he would sell them all to me if I wanted them? I said--"I want" but--I forgot to bring my credit card with me-so I only had enough cash with me to get one box (not bad at any rate) because I still had to get some groceries for the next week.

I raced back home to get my CC and called back--they sold out as they had several people who came in just after I left--who are late shoppers like I am.

Anyway, the purpose for this post about ammo--is to let you tech guys who check online for ammo at WM--to not believe everything you see--and take a chance and slide by the store and you might get lucky.

Just got back from visiting relatives in Mississippi

While there, we had to go to Wal Mart for some stuff

As habit, I strolled by the ammo cabinet and seen three boxes of .38 Special (target loads)

I bought two boxes

The lady was very nice and didn't seem to mind that a Tennessee boy was buying their ammo

She said they can't keep .22 stocked. Lots of people snake hunting around their ponds

That's a lot of snake shooting!

Anyway, feels good to nab a couple of boxes.

I haven't seen any .38 Special of any kind at a Wally World here in months. I'm envious.
