Looking for brand names for 9mm, 115 gr. ammo with the highest accuracy rate
Start competing next month in IDPA match, looking for the best option towards accuracy. Knowing there are many "vets" who have competed, would appreciate any input anyone can give. I will be using my MP 9, 4.25 to start. Thanks in advance.

Trust me, at IDPA distances (85% of shots within 15yds) the accuracy of your ammunition is the least of your worries.
I load Precision Delta 124gr FMJ to minor power and have no trouble with a 6" plate at 35 yards, IF I can hold the M&P still.
You want to be sure your rig is 100% reliable, and your gun handling is safe.

I think you're looking for information that doesn't exist. If someone did a careful study comparing the accuracy of 5 major brands of ammo, there's no guarantee that you'd get the same results in your gun. Shooting IDPA with a duty type gun doesn't require the same accuracy as bullseye shooting. Just try some different types of ammo and see what works best for you and your gun.

Thank you for your answer, I realize the distance is not great but all ammo do not react the same. Again thank you.

Guns are individuals - what mine likes yours may hate. The only way to find out is to get some trigger time in with different brands, weights, and velocities over a rest.

I would just shoot the SAME ammo a lot...............and get good with it.
Mostly if you can get in in bulk.
Ammo is not accurate..................
The person driving is what gets you home.
Good shooting.

Not a competition shooter here AT ALL, just a hunter, but I do shoot at least twice a month, 5-700 rounds.
If I were to take my 9mm hunting with FMJ rounds, I'd likely load it with Winchester White Box or Federal American Eagle.
Both these seem to do very well for me. My preference would likely be the AM Eagle due to the fact that Federal does nothing but ammunition, that's all they do, and they do it well.
Not much help, but at least it's one answer.

As said earlier, at IDPA distances, you won't be able to tell any difference among brands. Get the cheapest you can locate. You need to find something better to worry about.

Any old 9mm ammo will do. IDPA is not Bullseye shooting. Unless you are using a SIG 210, an S&W 952 or similar, match ammo is as "useless as tits on a boar." No point in paying the money.

True and in your gun the worst, cheapest ammo might actually be the most accurate. EVERY gun is different with every ammo. Each barrel, slide, frame, small components ...all have tiny metal imperfections that are unique to that specific gun. When combined with the microscopic imperfections in ammo you'll get a thousand different results with a thousand different guns. Fin what ammo is accurate in YOUR GUN
