Default It is getting Better in My Area

So hit Cabela's 3x this week, Unfortunately for me they are less than 1 mile from my House

So Monday they had about 100bx of .22 Some Winchester in the Wood box 500ct and federal target bulk 325ct.. I was able to get 1 of each....

Today just popped in when they opened at 8am
Same Federal again, like 30bx, and CCI Tactical 375ct... so got some Tactical CCI

They had all types of handgun ammo, TONS of .223/5.56 all ammo, excluding .22, is now NO LIMIT

They also had some CCI SPP but not much Powder....

So has been a good week for sure.....

Same at Cabelas here, they dropped the limit on all ammo except 22 last week. The shelves remain full with the exception of cheaper 9mm and 22 bulk.

It's getting much better and prices aren't inflated, of course a lot of the cheaper stuff is Tul, Wolf and Herters (Russian made, although the Herters isn't too bad).

CTD a few miles up the road has everything in stock, and plenty of it but at over inflated prices.

Now we just need Wal-Mart to get decent quantities and keep their cabinets stocked.

You guys are lucky,I haven't seen any .22lr at my Cabelas in close to a year.I think I bought their last brick then. All other calibers are available.

My Gander Mountain has been spotty with Federal and CCI .22lr,I did notice GM changed their limit from 2 boxes to 10 boxes.

My LGS has had different brands of .22lr popping in and out for some time now.

The cabela's had sooooooo much .223/5.56 it was insane... israli, Herts, American Eagle, Winchester, etc etc etc

They also had LOTS of 9mm... PMC, Winchester, Blazers..... even had a LOT of .357 which is Normaly hard to get....

They did have a lot of CCI 100rd Boxes and Agila 50rd Boxes... but not worth just getting 1 or 2 boxes....

I have a lot of .22 ammo as is, but was nice ta pull in 1200rds this week....... My SLIDEFIRE will be happy

How were the prices? Having ammo is one thing. Charging $75 for 500 rounds of .22 is something entirely different.

I've given up on looking for 22lr at the stores here. I'm just finding it here and there online and ordering it...and paying an extra 15$ for shipping...

Cabelas here was selling 100-rd plastic-paks of CCI MiniMag (limit one) as of last week. I wasn't shopping for any so I passed (!) and headed toward my desired .45 ACP. They had plenty of ball/range centerfire ammo but none of the Hornady Critical Defense I like in my nightstand and carry guns. I was thankful for what I found however. Late last month they had a limited amount of .380 ball (Herters) that my son needed to drill with his carry pistol but that's all of that caliber I've seen since before the first of the year! Now I have 400 .45 ACP, 350 9mm, a mess of .22LR and 650 rounds of .22 TCM. I'm not a hoarder and it's taken me several months to gather this and still stay current on my live-fire work but I think it is getting better from what I see on the shelves. I just hope the next lunatic who decides to hold a bloodbath will use something other than a firearm to do it!

Fed 325rd Packs $17.99... same as on 22 ammo thread for $34.99
Winchester 500rd wood box $29.99
CCI tactical 375rd $27.99 I think??
CCI 100rd packs $8.99 i think

9mm $14.99
.357 $20.99
.223 from $5.99/herters to $9.99or $8.99 American Eagle.... and some Bulk packs for Higher $...

Reasonable prices as cabela's always has... no inflated $ just based on current Cost increases on all Rounds these days

So good ta Go

:-)

I was at my local Cabelas yesterday and they had all sorts of ammo except 9mm and .22lr. there was 1 box of .22 bird shot and one box of .22 shorts, about half a dozen 9mm home defense rounds that I don't need at $24 per 20. I've had more luck online. They even had a whole display of 25rd S&W mags.

Eastern Washington has been getting better, but Western Montana not so much(which is where I am now). That's ok, I still have a couple bulk boxes left from last year.

The good news is I scored 8lbs. of Winchester 748 the other day. The slaying must go on!

22 is still in short supply here with spotty numbers. Hand gun and other calibers are getting better. Just not the good stuff yet. Things like "38" special or "32" magnum in any configuration are non existent. I suppose these are going to become handload only types.
