Is anyone backordering 22LR?
Rather that checking all of the sites to find out if they have any 22LR available is anyone taking backorders? I don't care if I have to wait a year, I'd just like to get an order in line at a decent price but if anyone is taking backorders I missed them.
Thanks.

When I check it says that they are not taking back orders. Maybe your order was submitted when they were still accepting them.

We have been buying ours at the LGS and the local wal-mart. It seems to be back to somewhat normal around here. The prices are about the same and the ammo is staying on the shelves for days at a time. No sense in us back ordering for that matter.

I had a bucket of 1,500 Rem. 22 LR on backorder at Midway. Today I received an e-mail telling me that it was in, but when I tried to order it they informed me it was out of stock, again! Waste of time!

I have a backorder for a case of CCI SV at Midsouth Shooters Supply that I placed on Feb. 4.
The price was $310 + $16.87 shipping.
Maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't, but they haven't cancelled my order, and say they will send email when it's ready to ship.

I tried to order two boxes a few days ago and discovered they don't sell online to TN buyers (or GA and AL). Best price for 22 lr that I've seen since I got back into shooting a few months ago. Chattanooga is about 100 miles from me.

Yeah the $7.99 seems to be the usual wal-mart price for 100rds of CCI. I walked in the past few days in a row and found some standard rounds as well as some mini-mag hp. Wal-mart is getting better and better by the week over here.

Maybe it will creep a little to the East. WM here still has nothing in the way of .22LR.

What's more amazing is no one seems to be complaining about their hidden handling charges. I'm considering filing a complaint with my CC company.

Seriously? You're going to try to file a complaint? What's your beef? The fact that their shipping charges are probably higher than others? It's not hidden. It comes up when you process your order. If you're smart, you compare the bottom line with Natchez to other suppliers, and choose the one with the lowest bottom line . . . or whatever criteria you elect to base your purchase on. But, there's certainly nothing deceptive with their prices. A smart Internet shopper always should take shipping costs into account. While I'd certainly love for a world that didn't charge for the shipping of ammo, that's not gonna happen! ;-)

I bought 1 box of CCI .22LR about 10 years ago but it just didn't shoot that well in my rifle. Tomorrow I have to go to the mainland for an appointment and will swing by a Wal-Mart that is about 18 miles away. If they have CCI on the shelf, it's coming home with me......

I also ordered a case from Mid-South in February. It was supposedly going to ship in June.
I called the other day and they said they'd heard nothing from the manufacturer.
Hopefully it will come in soon and the order will be fulfilled.

Question for "Reddog"
So you have had your order placed for quite a while, you receive an E mail advising that the ammo has arrived and is now in stock, why do you need to "Replace Your Order"? Your order should have been shipped to your chosen address when it was received by the people from whom you made the purchase.

What are u guys paying for the bucket O bullets, if u dont mind me asking. I'm just curious what its costing people to sit on a waiting list.
Im asking because i know a shop here in town who gets a pallet or so of these in occasionally. His price on these were around $65 a bucket if my memory serves be correctly. IMO, it sounds a bit high for Golden Bullets.

The bucket of bullets from C3Tactical is 64.99 for 1400 bullets. Thats about a nickel per round. I would pay that for a Remington golden bullet.

I get my 22lr from Academy so I don't have to bother with the online mess these days. Deliveries are pretty steady these days. Not enough to fully meet demand but there is no reason to show up now at 6am just to secure a place in line for what little ammo that arrived. The quanity of ammo in their delivery has increased thus allowing me to sleep in a bit these days.

Mid South
That is about the same message I got today. I am in no hurry, I was just following up for the first time in 3 months.
---------------------------------------------------
Thank you for your email. Your order is currently still in backorder status. We do not have an expected date for the backordered item at this time. As soon as your order is filled, we will notify you by email. We thank you for your business and appreciate your patience during this time of high demand and backlog in the entire shooting industry.
Thank you,

Why would you do that when you can find it in the stores these days(at least here in my area of texas). Ive picked up a few 325 and 500 bricks recently all for near normal prices.

Same here, with 550 year-round residents I guess Wal-Mart can't justify a store here, so I am forced to shop by internet or go without. Of course I have to depend on the "People of Wal-Mart" pictures to keep me up to date with current fashions too.
