Default Easing up a bit?

Hi all, been lurking around LGS's looking for a 1911 in .22lr (found one) and noticed more ammo on the shelves, .38 Special and 9mm in particular, such as Winchester 9mm for $15.99 a box, higher than I like but it seems to be showing up. Primers and powder are filtering in as well. However I haven't noticed a whole lot of .22lr yet. Hope this keeps up!

Same here in Eastern PA. Now they seem to have common calibers more frequently at a bit higher price. Primers and powder are around as well, hopefully they drop down in price as well.

Anyone who is on favor of "stopping scroungers, hoarders, profiteers and their minions" should welcome the higher prices. Mark up the retail to a point the secondary market is no longer attractive.

Yeah, buddy. - That'll teach 'em.

I think this run on 22lr will continue for awhile. Between some friends, co-workers, and people you bump into out and about, I don't know anyone that wouldn't jump at some decently priced 22(.05-.08/rd). Walmart and Fleet Farm are getting some 380, more 9mm,40,45. The 22s are gone very fast. When there are bulk packs of anything over 225ct, it barely makes it to the shelves. The 22s show up less often also. Plenty of 5.56/7.62x39/308 around.

That may be true in Allentown but the ammo hasn't made it's way up to the Scranton area yet. Even when a little shows up the prices are highly inflated to the point most shooters can't or won't buy it. (of course there is always someone to pay too much)

Never tried the GSG 1911-22, but the Kimber Rimfire Target has been awesome!

The larger stores like cabelas have the most at higher prices. Some of the small shops are gouging and the owner operated ones seem to have the best prices. American Eagle 9mm is $18 for example. Higher than before but bearable. Its time like these I am glad that I started reloading last summer and have enough to weather the storm.

Not much doing here. Check WM this morning just because I was there. A lot of rifle ammo but the handgun side was empty---

My local Big 5 actually has most calibers on the shelf with no limits. Unfortunately they don't have 9mm or 22lr unless you are one of the first 4-5 people in line on Friday mornings (with a 3 box limit). Walmart is about the same.

As for prices, they are high - $28 box of 50 .40SW as an example.

Dateline Reno, NV...went to one of our Walmarts @ 0730 today and bought 3 Federal 325 ct. Auto-Match boxes @ $18.99 ea. Then drove over to our Cabela's and bought 1 500 ct. box of Winchester Super XL's for $29.99. Needless to say, you had to be there early.

Why, how DARE you!

I have to get up since the sun is shining through the curtains and bothering me anyway, then check the Internet for new Facebook posts, er...I mean A JOB, then my Mom calls me up from the basement for my peanut butter and 'nanner sammich, then I have to take a nap.

When I wake up I have to check Facebook again and if Mom left her purse handy I can get gas money then I can borrow Mom's car (I do wish she would buy a nicer car - do you know how embarrassed she makes me?) before I can head for Walmart -

And do you know what??!!!

ALL 'A YOU CARNSARN PREPPERS, SCROUNGERS, HOARDERS AND YOUR MINIONS HAVE SCARFED UP ALL THE AMMO!!!

I AIN'T ABOUT TO GET UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT JUST TO BUY BULLETS. IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!

IT'S JUST NOT FAIR...

Ayetee...Cabela's seems to be pretty consistent with primers but they're $40 per 1K!!! I'm hoping Win 231 will show up locally but it's scarce all around. I load 9's & 38 special. What are you loading?

Very little available in the Vegas valley. No .22RF or 9mm to speak of. However, a lot of 12 ga slug/buck, both US and Rio/Royal.

I've been in and out of our local wally world since december and as usual they have mostly bare shelves. However this last week is was there and wonder of wonders there were a few boxes of rifle ammo and even two win white box value packs of 45acp on the shelves. $40 per box. No other pistol ammo was seen. While I'm not going anywhere saying it's getting better at least some rifle ammo is showing up. But academy has fairly well stocked rifle and some pistol ammo and last time I was at cabela's they had a lot of rifle and shotgun ammo but a small amount of pistol ammo. Frank
