I've heard Bass Pro Shop in Leeds Alabama will have 500 count boxes of 22LR for sale Friday morning. Available quantity 300 boxes. Probably be folks waiting in line to get a chance to buy a box. Never thought I 'd see the day that folks would be desperate for 22LR ammo.

I tryed to talk my son into going to Cabelas Friday morning and picking me up a box of 22s. I told he should be in line at 4am. I think he is blowing me off.

I am going to buzz into Bass Pro before work. I will be there pretty close to 5am. Try and get a box of .22

I think I'm half nuts for trying but nothing like a little fun before work to wake me up and start my day off. LOL.

I hear 'ya. I don't have anything better to do and Cabela's is only 10 minutes from home. I mean, it'll be 5 AM - how crowded can it be?

Oh I think it will be very busy. Do you see all the pictures on the news of people pitching tents by the front door to be first.

Best Buy always has campers. Not sure how Bass Pro will be.

Just got this notice from ammoman.com for bagged and canned "Ammo by the Pound"
Bulk Ammo For Sale By The Pound

Example, 26lb=900 rounds of mixed 9mm for $169 delivered.

They say it's stuff from damaged packaging. Could be a good deal for some and it is free shipping.

I haven't ordered this kind of deal before, but I have ordered many cases of 9mm over the past few years.

Always fast, good service.

Did anybody get in on this? Sale started at midnight but website was so bogged down that requests kept timing out. Sold out in about 20 minutes. I managed to get a box of .22 into my shopping cart but then when I went to check out it said no longer in stock.

The AmmoMan sale says it's not available till midnight Friday. I presumed that meant 1 minute after 2359 hrs Friday, not 0000 hrs Friday. Perhaps that's why everything shows as "0 available" today (Friday morning as I type).

It was last night...they called it "midnight Friday morning" for some reason. There were quantities available for about 20 minutes. I watched the .22 quantity drop from 15 to 12 to 8 to 3 to 0 while I was trying to get it into my shopping cart.

Sorry there's a problem but I think the site I linked to says

"Please note, these products will not be available until midnight Friday."
It's right above the Ammo by the Pound Line-up toward the bottom of the page.
Bulk Ammo For Sale By The Pound

Again, sorry if there's a problem. I didn't try to buy any myself.

I had the same experience as you guys, I couldn't the pages to load and then once I did have items in cart they were out of stock. I was really hoping to get some 22LR, 556 and 9mm.

I pretty much never go out on BF but was looking at houses and stopped by Gander in Lake Mary about 11 today after any rush. I was there maybe a month ago and thought they had tons of everything except 22 and 9mm. Didn't see any 22 (wasn't looking too hard) today but they had tens of thousands of rounds of 9mm (mostly Win white box) and more 223 than ever. Of course being Gander prices were still obscene for most stuff like all 223 .60+ per round whether 20 or 500rds. They were selling the 100rd packs of AE223BL I got for $45 (shipped from Grafs) for $65. For the first time in years I actually bought something there though. They had Win Q4318 124g 9mm NATO for 19.99 which was the same price as the regular 115g white box. For factory ammo kind of fond of that load and snagged 3 boxes. I have not seen that or the Ranger version on shelves anywhere in the past few years.

I know they did have those buckets of .22 probably sold out this morning. I'm going to Orlando gun show in the morning and I'll bet many of those buckets and other deals from Bass Pro etc. will be there with prices jacked. Hopefully I will be able to get some rifle powder tomorrow.

The way I see it, The Flippers are doing folks a favor. They got up at the crack of O-God-Thirty, you got to sleep in, and for a small handling fee, you can still buy what you need at your leisure!

Too funny... out of two large buildings today probably a 1/4 of the vendors had 1-2 buckets of 22 from the Gander special. Most had no prices but saw at least $140 and $160. From the ample amounts of 22 I saw today and falling prices hopefully the flippers will lose their *** now. Prices still all over the place though from what is probably the new norm to outrageous. I didn't need any 22 but I always survey prices. What was really bad was powder That's for another post.
