A couple of data points, just FYI.

The Georgia Arms 200 gr JHP (advertised as 1650 fps) averaged 1477 (sd = 14.4, 5 rounds) in a 629-6 mountain gun, and 1772 fps in a 10" contender.

Their 300 gr JSP is advertised as 1250 fps. It clocked 1358 fps (sd = 8.5) in the contender, with 4 of 5 rounds within 5 fps.
I couldn't bring myself to shoot the 300gr stuff in the mountain gun.
