Need help ID'ing vintage early 1950's .357 magnum ammo & box
Hello all. I have a 1950 pre-model 27 with the 3 1/2" bbl.
and I am looking to acquire a period correct box of .357 magnum ammo. Would anyone with the period correct ammo
be kind enough to post a picture of what it looks like so I
have some idea of what to look for? I appreciate any help
I can get.

Here is a link that might help:
https://www.google.com/search?q=1950...w=1366&bih=651
It's a google search (1950 .357 cartridge) that shows a variety of photos.
Hope this helps.

The easiest to find are usually Remington. In the 1950s, Remington boxes were green and red, with the front side solid green with white letters. The index number in the lower right corner will not have an R prefix (R indicates pre-WWII). The address should be Bridgeport CT. Remington used pretty much the same box graphics (with minor changes) from the late 1930s through the 1950s. Case headstamps will be REM-UMC, not R-P.

That's it. Just don't shoot the stuff. It leads the barrel like nothing you ever saw.
