Default Multiple .690 round balls in 12 gauge shell

This weekend I saw an unusual box of shot shells.

!2 gauge and each contained TWO .690 lead balls.

Was not able to identify manufacture. Box label did mention police in part of description. Were packed as box of ten rounds.

When I went back with pencil and paper the shells had been sold. Vendor had no information about who/where they came from.

Tried google - now trying forum

They were NOT the three ball loads being sold by Dixie Slugs.

Can anyone identify from my description?

Anybody know who sell these?

Well, I don't know about you but it would shake me up to get hit with a pair of balls.

"Gimmicky" loads like this are produced by small mfgrs in small quantities. When one of these loads is picked up by a major mfgr, I might be mildly interested.

Buckshot and slugs are less 'kooky' than these gimmicks, but they have been used in interpersonal combat for over a century. That they are still used testifies to their effectiveness.
