Wa Da Ya Got Obsolete Ammo?
For us older guys I'm thinking.
Show us what you have been hanging onto in regards to
old ammo that many on this forum may have never seen.
I am posting some images of "some" of what I have.
Could be a nice nostalgia trip.

I have a few rounds left of some "black tip" 30.06 ammo, bought from a Army/Navy surplus store in the '60's..
The black tip is the designation for armor piercing...
It was considered low cost ammo at the time and we used them to sight in our scopes...

My Pop gave me some 12 guage rds cased in brass w/ a paper plug in the end.
He had them for as long as I remember.
Maybe they still make them?
Just shot off my old 22LR's from the 80's last summer. Only a few duds. They cost a lot less back then, too.

The other day I found what looked like a full box of Remington .32 S&W. The box says it's loaded with black powder. It will be fun to shoot this out of my Single Six.

Got some 32.40 ammo from the 30s. Also picked up a few boxes a few years back when they did a special run for a commemorative. You can still find it available at large gun shows, but they want heavy duty money for it.
Man that stuff is loaded so slow that you can shoot (off the bench) lift your head and see the target rip.

Don't know if it counts as obsolete, but I always thought these were interesting:
I remember the cops when I was a kid had some of these conical shaped rounds in their belt loops.
