Has anyone made a recent purchase of Samson 9mm ammo?
If so I would like to know how it performed. I am seeking info
on the performace of newely made ammo.
Back in the 80's I used to shoot a lot of IMI/Samson/Uzi 9mm and it was always quality ammo. I really liked the hot black tip and maroon tip carbine loads. I haven't used any of the newer production 9mm, but I have no doubt that it is of the same or better quality that that from the 80's.
I bought 1000 of these from Widener's 2-3 weeks ago; I think they still have them in stock. The price was $300, which came to $321 delivered to my door. I've always been pleased with IMI/Samson ammo - given their neighbors, I figure they've got to make good ammo!
I've used the ammo in two very different guns so far with no problems. Great results at 50 feet with my SIG P938 on a silhouette target and outstanding groups at 25 yards with my SIG X5 Lightweight (I'm definitely the limiting factor with this gun).
