Default .38 125gr HP's - Underwood, Winchester White Box, and Remington bulk

This stuff any good? A guy is offering to trade it for .45 ACP ammo. I have somewhere around 1000 rounds of .45 ACP 230gr FMJ and only one gun to shoot it from. I can trade a bit if it's worth it.
Meanwhile I have two .357's and two .38's to feed.

Communication has been poor but he sent me these two pictures. The Underwood I'm curious about because the box doesn't say +P and the labels look different from boxes I have seen online.

Meanwhile I don't know if the WWB stuff and the Remington bulk pack stuff are even worth the trade?

Thanks for your service friend. Can't comment on Underwood. The Remington ammo is decent stuff. Used to our as well as LAPD issued duty ammo back in the stone age. I also can't comment on the Winchester but I'd reckon it's fine as well. .45 auto is a tad pricier than .38 so swap accordingly.

Badge is correct. The W/W and R/P loads are good ammo. Both have been available at Walmart and much less pricey than the 'boutique' stuff. I've shot both: the R/P is 'hotter' than the W/W.

I am always reluctant to trade ammo. That means 'never,' especially in these iffy times where availability is too often tied to an election or an unfortunate incident. Not criticizing your intention, just my view. My best wishes...

Most of my .45 was purchased 4-5 years ago for half what it goes for now.

I bought it a box or two at a time and only a few years ago realized how much I had. I've only ever had one .45 and meanwhile I've collected several .38's and .357's and another person who's ammo I'm responsible for supplying.

Even after this trade I'll have a lot of .45 left.

Any thoughts/opinions on the Underwood ammo? I emailed them today but I can't seem to find any pictures of their ammo boxes matching the ones in the supplied picture. Meanwhile they list all of their .38 ammo as +P but clearly those are not labelled as such.

I'm confuzzled.

Hi AJ, I Googled and YouTube'd Underwood Ammo. Plenty of tests, but the only revolver test was .357. Nothing for .38. Website shows 1200fps for .38+P. Other forums relate that Underwood loads hot. Best I can do...

Perhaps it might be wise, if you buy it, to try it first in a steel frame gun, perhaps a .357 medium or large frame? Just a thought. Ton of prevention...

I ended up just trading the guy 200 rounds of .45 for the 250 rounds of Winchester and Remington.

I emailed Underwood and they were very helpful. Turns out that ammo in the picture is at least 2 years old. They weren't even able to completely identify the load because the boxes were used during several variations. I passed on those.
