Default Finally

Twice in the past 2 weeks my local Academy has recieved Federal 525 count 22lr. It was priced @ $21.99 whereas CCI 300 count Choot'em was priced @ $23.99.

I can say for the past month there has been 22lr available every day at my local Academy. Bulk CCI and Federal Automatch have arrived in quanity enough to last most of the day. Fifty count boxes now last past the following delivery day. CCI mini mags don't sell until all of the bulk is gone thereby allowing those so motivated to plck up there limit the next day also.

Selection has been great with such brands as CCI SV, Pistol Match and Green Tag being delivered. Lots of the CCI SV along with selections from Aguila to include their 60 grain sub sonic 22lr.

Default 22's Finally

Last week the local Bass Pro Shop actually still had some 22's available at lunch time (the scalpers/hoarders usually clean them out when they first open the store in the morning). They too had the CCI Choot EM! 300 pack for $21.99. That's the first reasonable 22's I've seen in years. Maybe it's slowly getting better?

I as talking to a client today who is an older Woman who enjoys shooting. Her boyfriend has a .22 rifle and she has a really nice Ruger Bearcat that her late husband bought in the mid '60s that she likes to shoot. She said they went to Scheels and she bought .22 Long Rifle ammo for $4.00 for a 50 round box. That's 8 cents a round. Nothing like it used to be, but it's getting better.

Congrats on 22lr ammo availability and at a somewhat fair price. Still none around here...

Nice to read such posts as this one. In my area, .22 LR ammo is still like Bigfoot... only not even any tracks!
