New OATH TANGO ammunition
Has anyone seen, bought or used a new ammo on the market named "OATH TANGO". I have seen it is 380,9,.45, .38, & .357. I saw a sample of an expanded round at my dealers and it looks mean from an expansion standpoint. They have a website if you google OATH ammo. Not cheap-about $29 for box of 20.

This stuff is awesome
I bought some 2 or 3 months ago and I love it I tried some tests at home and I am thoroughly impressed. I only paid 25$ at my local gun shop for the 9mm round and honestly not a bad price for defense ammo. It doesn't really matter to me how much it costs as long as it works. check out some of the YouTube videos, they look pretty awesome.

Sorry, not impressed. With that much expansion and light weight,
I doubt they will drive deep enough to reach vitals on a consistent basis.

And they are actually proud of this! See their 45 ACP gel test.
Videos | Oath Ammo
THIS is what self defense ammo should do.

Saw their own videos on their own rounds, and they proved themselves to be to poor to even be considered for usage. The big star design just looks cool, it severely under penetrates, and its total wound cavity does not look as impressive as a more standard "star" or even more superior mushroom expansion, of which many rounds can penetrate deep enough.
12 inches in gel is bare minimum, anything that cannot reach that depth is disqualified for recommendation. These things are coming in at 9 inches or so, so its a complete failure. The nose cone may go deeper? There are many high quality factory rounds today that will punch deep and wide, something the Tango cannot.

Welcome to the forum.
Could you describe the specific tests you conducted and why the ammunition's performance impressed you?
Too, what did you find awesome about the videos? They appear to show Oath ammo making things explode, but the company apparently makes no attempt to submit their ammunition to proven testing protocols to make a more compelling case for their actual efficacy...

Only 8" penetration of the main projectile.
They only give the maximum expansion and not the minimum and average expansion.
Narrator claims it's 10% gelatin, but I don't see a calibration BB and it looks like ClearBallistics instead.
I'll pass on this stuff.

I was going to try some Oath Tango in my new M&P Shield 45, but OAL is too long and gun would not go into battery.

I have an SD9VE as my bedside firearm. I have (4) mags, but, only (2) of them are filled with defense ammo. I have them loaded where every other round is an Oath round and an Hornady 124 gr XTP round. The other (2) mags are filled with FMJ rounds for target shooting.

OATH refers to what you will utter once you realize you could have gotten superior performance for far less money...

Federal's 9BPLE (and similar 115JHP+P+ loads) fail to reach 12" in gel. The 357Mag 125JHP fails to reach 12" in gel. Yet these loads have proven themselves time and time again to be excellent stoppers for decades. People need to stop drinking the FBI's Kookaid.

Note the comment from the IAA posting: "With the recent news that OATH Ammo may be in trouble / shutting down - I ordered a couple OATH items from Clark Armory who had them in stock. "
Does anyone know more?
