On a pig hunt in centeral California's Condor country. They preformed exactly as advertised. 223 with the Barns bullet. 3 shots 3 pigs. The only lead free ammo I could get my hands on. One rifle was a now discountiued Stevens model 100. A less expensive version of the Savage model 110, if anyone can imagine that. Works perfect though. The other a Mini 14. I learned I am getting to old to drag my butt up and down the Costal Mt ranges in 100 + degree weather. The pigs were on the smaller side, probably ess than 100 pounds, laying in the only mud puddle for miles. The guy with the Mini got one laying still. The bolt guy got the others when they were starting to move. For those interested, their stomachs were full of grass. I could find no ticks or external parasites.
