45 auto rim factory ammo available?
Years ago before the ammo craze/shortage I bought 15 boxes (of 50) 45 auto rim ammo made by PMC. It was a 200 grain copper bullet that performed very well.
Does anyone currently make factory 45 auto rim ammo? Yes I have seen it by buffalo bore but they're in small boxes of 20 or 25.
Anyone else out there?
Thanks
Dave

OP : Found some 50 round boxes but they cost more...
Shop Shooting Supplies | Reloading | Gunsmithing | Hunting gear ? MidwayUSA has Double Tap 50 round boxes
230 gr and 255 gr (dayum!)...for $56 per box.. Say's currently stock.
I haven't bought from Midway recently they used to have the highest shipping cost around...several have said they've gotten better...
Cheers

Among the name brands - Remington - made a 230g round nose but thats past tense - no longer by more than a few years offered.
Starline still makes runs of the brass but then you'll be a reloader to use it.

Does anyone make reloading dies for this caliber? Lyman used to but they no longer have shell holders which apparently are unique to this caliber..

My LEE Carbide dies are marked for 45ACP and 45 AR. I use them for both. Lee Universal Shellholder #13 works for 45 AR.

As was just pointed out the dies are the same, the shell holder is different.
The only other thing that may be different is the crimping procedure.
Thanks to those that mentioned some possible outlets for 45 auto rim ammo..

Have been reloading these for many years for S&W 625 and a number of Webley and Enfield cut 0.455s. Saves finding moon clips. Yes there are Enfield 0.455 revolvers made after WWI identical to the Webley MKVI except for the manufacturer. Around 25000 were made. Dave_n

You can use a .45 ACP crimping die.
It's a really easy round to load for. Although it's been years since I carried one.

You can roll crimp 45 AR or ACP when using moon clips or AR brass. However, I haven't had the need. I load the same load I use for 1911s, taper crimped, no issues with the crimp. Revolvers give you some flexibility with bullet shapes, but IMO you don't gain enough to use them.
