Default Couple of new calibers in the mix.

Lots of folks advocate keeping ammunition stocks simple. There's no fun in that. I like having a bit of variety.

Added a couple 357's last year and gettin' back into 9mm this year.

My answer to the handgun caliber wars is "all of the above."

So far I've managed to stay away from the more exotic calibers.

I'm a "spice of life" guy myself. Sure I keep a healthy supply of 9mm, 5.56 and 7.62X39, but I would never limit myself to a few calibers.

Rimfires: .22LR, .17 HMR, .22 Mag

Handguns: .380 ACP, 7.63 Mauser, .30 Luger, .38 Special, .357 Magnum, .357 Sig, 9mm, 10mm, .44 Special, .44 Magnum, .45 ACP.

Rifles I go .223, .308, 6.5X55, 7x57, .30 Carbine, 7.62X39, 30-30, 30-40, 30-06, .300 Blackout, .300 H&H, .300 Weatherby, .348 Winchester, .45-70 Gov't.

I could never be the AR-15.com guy who says: I have 4 Glock 19s and 4 AR15s and nothing else, 'cause I'm a serious, tactical operator.

When this ammo shortage first appeared I bought a couple handguns in calibers I did not have.

The more different ones you got the better chances of finding ammo in these difficult times!

I'm a high drag, low speed operator myself.

When it comes to handgun rounds, though, I tend to stick with one or two common calibers at most.

That is exactly how I ended up shooting .40 - only thing on the shelves near me.

I laughed all the way to the range, never missing a trip due to lack of consumables.

In the right gun 40S&W is fun, controllable, and accurate. It's just not one of those calibers you'd want to shoot 500 rounds at a time with using full powered ammo.

I have always kept a very large stock, on hand, of the few calibers that I have always used and and manage to shoot well. I am very comfortable with this and hope that everyone will continue to be able to live and keep as much of and any amount and variety of firearms and equipment for protection and recreation that each one feels necessary. We are all individuals but can only be strong if we all stand for each other. And always remember, no one lives forever, so have fun while you can!

Yes, but I do not own a "moist nougat," as I've heard it called.

Unlike most, I'm okay with both types of black rifles.

It's as close to a classic wood stocked rifle as I've been. It was made in 1978 and is no longer imported so it loosely fits.

It's plenty accurate and a lot of fun. Unfortunately the ammo has doubled in price and my precious 7N1 sniper ammo (pictured) has become unobtanium.

Rick, many moons ago, I had a dragunov. The 762x54 is the russian 3006. And the russians have been using it since 1891. It works, lusted after a tigr in 9.3x64. Could never find one. Beautiful rifle by the way, its czech, correct? The PSL. My chosen military/battle rifle is a m1a
