Default S&W 148 wad cutter ammo

I came across a couple of blue S&W ammo boxes marked - 38 SPECIAL 148 GR. WADCUTTER. I shot bullseye pistol since 1990 and never saw it on the firing line. How does it compare in accuracy to either Federal or Remington 148 gr wad cutter?

Smith & Wesson hasn't made ammo since 1981- what you have is old stock, virtually unobtainable today except as collector ammo. S&W ammo was good stuff, was sad to see it go and still miss it.

Thumbs up

Never have used any Fed- or Rem- WC's, but have a couple cases of Winchester yellow box match that shoots just fine. Had some stuff from th 70's but shot it up-- luckily I cleaned up the brass and stored it away along with the boxes for 30 years or so. After I got a 52 I loaded all the shot up stuff and put the rest of the factory Winchester away-- for now. Here is my baby today-- I added the Ivories right after I got Her.
