Herter's 9mm $12.99 for 50
Went into one of my sporting goods stores today and saw that Herter's had 9mm 115gr ball with a nylon jacket for $12.99 for a box of 50, in a aluminum case.
If you don't roll your own, this is a heck of a price.
I picked up four boxes just for the heck of it, since I thought the Blue bullets looked slick.

It is CCI Blazer that has been marketed as Herters. I have bought several cases and have had no problems at all. Often on sale for $9.99. WalMart sells it as Federal.

Herters TNJ is An exclusive product for Cabelas and is made by CCI.
Federal's Champion brand is also an exclusive product for Walmart (their product number on the boxes start with WM).

BE CAREFUL!
There have been a few reports as of late about Herters (made by TULA) blowing up and severely damaging firearms. If in fact it is REALLY made by CCI then I would say it's OK to use, but I'd CALL CCI to confirm that. Tula ammo (even if marked Herters) I'd RUN from after seeing an M1 Garand blown up from its use. Again, if it's CCI I would trust it / TULA - forgetaboutit!

Herters is a name Cabela sells their ammo under. The actual manufacturer can be whomever they contracted out to. It's been Tula, Blaser, Fiochi, and others.
That being said $13 for Herters aluminum or steel case is insane. Ok maybe not insane but too much for sure

$11 a box on line is nice but don't forget about the shipping cost.

If you buy one box then yea it's not worth it. However the Blazer brass is 199 + 16 shipping = $215 ÷ 1000 rounds is $0.21 cents per round.
Herters 12.99 ÷ 50 = $0.259. Almost 26 cents per round.
Still cheaper with shipping!
