9mm Sellier&Bellot differences?
I recently found some inexpensive range ammo.
S&B 9mm 115gr brass FMJ. I'm familiar with the S&B ammo in the green and red box, but this comes in a white box with black lettering. All specs look the same but the price is a little lower for the white box.
Is there any difference other than packaging? Is it perhaps for the European market?
Just curious but at 20.5 cents/rd I bought some.

Where did you find it? May be older production

Yes Arik, that's a possible answer. It's from Sportsmans Guide

S&B makes a lot (and I mean a LOT) of 9x19mm ammo for other countries in Europe (primarily for LE use), and there's bound to be a lot of overrun's and rejected contract ammo. The box of ammo shown on the Sportsmans Guide website is just one of at least 3 contract loads that I've seen within the last year being sold on the retail market as surplus ammo.

I just received my order from Sportsmans Guide. Interesting appearance, to say the least.
Plain white boxes of 50, with a Sellier & Bellot sticker on the box. Most of the cases do not have 9x19 stamps, a couple do.

Most likely contract overruns. I have used a lot of S&B primers lately because I can get them at $19 per thousand from Cabelas. You can recognize them because they are gold.

That ding in the primer, upper right round? I'm noticing several rounds have that. What causes that?
