It has mfg year and NATO symbol and RG on the headstamp.

This stuff shoots! It is arguably the most accurate 62gr LAP
ammo I have come across.
Never saw it before this. Has anyone else here come across this
ammunition?

RG stands for Radway Green. It's Great Britain's national armory, sort of like our Lake City. The government owns it and contracts with B.A.E. Systems to run it. British Aerospace is Great Britain's largest defense contractor. I haven't seen any of their 5.56 but have shot a few thousand of their 7.62 X 51. It is excellent ammo.
