- I have from a friend 700 rounds of Federal Ball M882 white box. My question is can this run through my SD9 VE?

The manual states +p ok but not +p+
I have searched google but always come up with different answers...Any help will be appreciated.

U.S. M882 9mm NATO ammunition all appears to be loaded slightly hotter than typical U.S. plinking ammunition, about the same as European military ball, and less than +P ammo. It shouldn't harm any decent 9mm Parabellum pistol that doesn't belong in a museum. An H.P. White laboratory report after WW2 showed German 1918 123gr. at 1207fps and 1941 (Pist.) 124gr. at 1242 fps (both from a P-38). I doubt that any of the current M882 exceeds this. Some confusion is caused by mixing test-barrel (higher velocities) and pistol barrel results.
One caveat: pressure and velocity do not always correlate.

I have chronographed considerable quantities of M882 fired from a Colt GM (5" barrel), and also an EAA Witness with a 4.5" barrel. MVs run in the mid-1100s. NATO specification for velocity is 1230+/-49 fps average @ 52.5’ from muzzle (from a NATO 7.848" test barrel).

The official chamber pressure specification for the 124 grain M882 is 34,519 psi (NATO method) max. average (from a NATO 7.848" test barrel). As loaded, the actual lot chamber pressure average is in the 32,800 psi range (NATO method). This information comes directly from Winchester. The NATO method is essentially the same as the European CIP, pressure is measured by piezo gauge at the case mouth. Not the same as the SAAMI method using a conformal gauge.
