Free Box of Federal Nyclad .38 Spcl. 158 gr.
My work partner told me he had some old ammo from his girlfriend's late grandfather. She didn't want it and neither did he, as he doesn't own anything chambered for .38 Spcl. He brought it to work today and gave it to me. I asked him if I could give him something for it and he said he'd take a vintage Schrade pocket knife (that I had already given him).
Like most of us, I won't turn down free ammo. And, although I have a couple of revolvers that are chambered for this round, I may just save this box.

Any revolvers that need a new home? Good deal.

I don't know which is more collectible - 158gr RNL Nyclad, or a gun owner who doesn't have anything chambered for .38 Special.
Nice catch either way!

I didn't even know they made that load back then, and I was buying this stuff when it was new.

Father in Law just moved into the area and while I was helping him move the ammo in the basement he goes, "Didn't you just pick up a new snub nose?" Yep, I did.
He goes, here take these, and I too ended up with two fresh boxes of Federal 158 Nyclad as well!

I have a Chief's Special that just loves those rounds. I was lucky enough to find 2 boxes of 50 at a gun show a few years back. My buddy knew the seller and I got them for $20 each, I wish he had more.
For some reason that seems to be very accurate ammo and perfect for older snub nose revolvers. I like the FBI Load in the 4" M&P but in the snub nose those are great.

I had some of the Federal stuff.
May still have a partial box somewhere.
I wouldn't turn down a free box either.

And I thought this was going to be a KARMA. Oh well. Good on you for finding some desirable ammo at a better than "GREAT" price.
