Getting favorite ammo online while I still can
Ammo choices are rather thin in NJ retail outlets, the Cabelas in Hartford will not sell ammo to an out of state resident, and online ammo sales will probably be gone from New Jersey within several years.
These are the loads I cannot find local
12 gauge 00 buck reduced recoil
Short 12 gauge target loads
.300 Savage 180 gr. (even 150 gr. is hard to find)
5.56 with 69 grain target bullets
.243 with 100 grain bullets
Anyone else making sure they can stock up a few rounds of your favorite factory loads

Personally, I'm just stocking up on components for reloading. I get more for my $$ that way. Other than shotgun shells, which I don't reload.

I don't have a "favorite". Just ammo I shoot.
Why don't you look online for your favorite loads? I just looked on SGammo and they have 2 brands with 100gr 243

That was my point
I can only get the loads I shoot best online and I expect online sales to be restricted from New Jersey soon

I've been using Target Sports USA, also here in CT, but don't hold that against them!

Drive across the border into PA. Can't buy beer in the 7/11, but you can buy ammo without an ID

The Allentown Gun Show used to be worth the trip. It was put on by the Forks of the Delaware Historical Society Historical Arms Society

I've been pretty pleased with them the past few months.. Maybe not the cheapest online, but WAY cheaper than stores in the area.
