WOLF Gold is made by Prvi Partizan which is good ammo.

Not so fast.
Wolf contracts their ammo out to different manufacturers. The Wolf Gold in .223 happens to be made in Taiwan. Other Wolf ammo can be made in Eastern Europe. The non-brass Wolf comes from Russia.
Scroll down in this ammo section. I think there was a thread a couple months ago on Wolf.

You Sir are 100% correct. Looks like Taiwan is the new supplier for their Gold brand, at least in .223 Rem. Not sure about any of the other calibers.

I have shot the Wolf Gold Taiwanese 55 gr. FMJ in .223. It is very good ammo. I can't tell any difference between it and Federal American Eagle or U.S.-made Winchester of the same type bullet.

I've had no problems with the .223 Wolf Gold that I've used.

I bought my last case of Wolf Gold 55 gr. FMJ from SGAmmo, it was about $325.00 shipped to my door.

Made in Taiwan. Like the previous poster said.....Wolf contracts out to different manufacturers. The company itself is American out of Cali. They go under the name SSI (Sporting Supplies International)
Some of their Gold line like 303, 7mm Mauser, 8mm Mauser and others were at one time made by PPU (Prvi Partizan)

Wolf brass-cased, Taiwan-produced, ammo is very good.
Avoid steel-cased ammo of any stripe in your 5.56 AR15-type autoloader.
If you handload, you can buy primed Wolf 5.56 brass. I shot my best score by far at 600 yards at Camp Perry this year using ammo I loaded on Wolf primed 5.56 brass. 24.4 grains Varget and an 80-grain Sierra Matchking. No additional brass-prep required. Dump powder. Stuff bullet. Shoot best 600-yard score of my life at Nationals. I shot high-master scores two days in a row at 600. I'd never shot a high master score at 600 at Camp Perry in the many years I've been going there. I'm a big fan of the Taiwanese brass.

Have not bought any Wolf in the last 6 or 7 years but all I have shot has given no problems and seemed to be reasonably accurate.
