Just letting my forum friends know about the cheapest 9mm ammo in my area. Wal-Mart has Federal aluminum case 9mm 115 ball in the 100 round box, for $19.44 plus tax. I can't even buy steel case European stuff for that around here. They also have 50 round boxes, and .40 and .45.

Nice to know man. How dirty is it? The one and only time I tried any aluminum cased ammo was some Blazer in 38 Special around 25 years or so ago and it was by far the dirtiest stuff I ever shot. Haven't touched aluminum stuff since then. BTW, I can reload for a bit less than that price, if you are into reloading. 9MM cases are easy to accumulate at the range.

The 9MM Perfecta at Walmart is about the same price, $9.78/50, I think. It is brass cased and has worked perfectly for me in 3 different guns. It sells out here pretty quickly, but not as bad as .22LR.

I don't reload 9mm. The only auto caliber I reload is .45acp. It doesn't seem dirty at all, to me. I was running it through a CZ and a Jericho, and they had little fouling. The material of the case shouldn't have anything to do with fouling. I can't remember shooting any Blazer aluminum 9, but I have shot some in .25. If I did reload 9mm, i probably would load them with Unique, so no matter what ammo I shoot, I clean the gun after. I don't shoot steel case ammo.

That's good to hear that it isn't particularly dirty. If ever I need some 9MM and don't want or need the cases that opens up another ammo choice available at the stores that won't break the bank. That 38 Special Blazer junk really soured me to aluminum cased ammo. It actually had the cylinder binding on the Rossi 38 I shot it in because it was so dirty.

I have used 500 rounds of the Federal Aluminum 9mm with no issues and my Ruger SR9E HATED PERFECTA! But now I am saving brass as I will be reloading soon

I bought a couple of boxes of the Federal Aluminum 9mm to try a while
back and then went back and bought a bunch more. It's good clean
consistant 9mm ammo at a great price in my opinion.

I don't reload 9 mm so don't care about cases. Has any one tried the Win steel cased ammo? $28.50 (can't remember the exact amount) for 150 rounds @ WalMart. Does well in my G-19

If I didn't reload, the Fed Aluminum would be all I'd buy! I have shot it in 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 auto and it is consistent and accurate in all my pistols. On days I don't want to search for brass, I buy this and have no worries. In my area, the 9mm is $9.97/box 50 and the 40 and 45 are $14.97/box 50. :-)

.20 per round doesn't seem all that cheap to me. If I cast my own bullets, I load 9's or .38 for less than .05. If I use store bought bullets, it's still around .10 per round. But then again, I'm just plain cheap.

Might actually be less expensive for you to pay a bit more for the Brass 9mm and sell the empties. There are lots of guys who are looking to buy once fired Brass. Just saying..........

I have shot many thousands of rounds of the CCI and Federal aluminum. I am going to assume it is all the same. I don't find it dirty and it works fine.
