Default PMC Bronze?

Anyone have issues with it, in 357 Magnum, anyway? I brought 50 rounds of that in 158 grn and 50 rounds of Fiocchi 142 grn to the range last week and started with the PMC. The empty cases were not ejecting very well at all. Went to the Fiocchi and they were fine- back to the PMC and the problem was back.

Anyone else ever had this problem? I don't plan on using it again, just curious.

What pistol or revolver is giving you problems? I have some PMC Bronze 357 I bought a year or so ago and I find it feels a little weak as compared to some Fiocchi I'd bought about 6 months before the PMC. No problems with extracting them out of my N frames and no problems with them cycling my Coonan 1911 style 357. But probably around the mid 80's I had bought some PMC in 357 that was severely overpressured. I had to tap the extractor with something to get the cases to start ejecting out of my old 5" model 27.

It's a 28-2, and the Fiocchi ejected perfectly every time. I thought the PMC had more kick, but it was also a heavier bullet. The Fiocchi was pleasant.

I've fired PMC 158 grain and the Fiocchi 142 grain FMJ loads from several .357 magnum revolvers. In my experience, the PMC was much more stout a load than the Fiocchi. The Fiocchi round is generally known to be a sweet shooting, accurate load, but its not loaded very hot. The PMC cases were under more pressure, therefore they are grabbing the chambers tighter.

Did all the primers on the PMC cases look normal? Look for flattening or flow back into the firing pin hole.

My Colt Python would show pressure signs with ammo that none of my other revolvers had an issue with. All depends on the particular gun.

That makes sense...definitely less kick from the Fiocchi...I just figured it was due to the lighter bullet...but then again, 16 grains isn't THAT much, in the scheme of things.
