Lightning does strike!
Walked into a Walmart that I don't usually go to.
Could not believe my eyes!
They had CCI MiniMags.
Cannot remember what year it was the last time I saw that!
Bought a 1000 rounds.
Just over 8 cents a round, including tax.

Nice collection you have Friday a garage sale near the house. Told the wife buy all the .22 ammo. So I'll see what she comes home with.

That is THE definition. It doesn't matter what they're calling it now. Actual bricks of .22LR may not be as common today as they once were, but a brick is still a brick.

All boxes that sell loose rounds are bulk packs. It doesn't matter whether there are 333, 325, 500, 525, etc. in it. It's a bulk pack.

Do the shooting world a favor and correct the folks behind the counter when they erroneously call a bulk pack a brick. Use the proper term yourself. You wouldn't call a revolver a pistol, would you? Would you????

I have been purchasing .22 LR ammo since the 60's. A brick was always 10 - 50 round paper/cardboard containers housed in a larger paper/cardboard container. It was called a brick because the shape looked like a brick.

Since that time you can also purchase .22LR in bulk containers made of paper/cardboard or plastic like a small deli container used for potato salad.

I have never seen .22LR ammo sold loose out of a bin by weight and most likely would not buy it that way for fear of not getting the right number of rounds per the amount paid. I know when I buy a box or a brick that I am getting 50 rounds or 500 rounds for whatever the price being asked is. Bulk may be cheaper in the long run but I am old and set in my ways.

CCI specialty rounds come in what I simply call 100 round slider top boxes with the tail of all rounds up, and are not available in bricks. I've never seen .22 rimfire sold in the fashion of bulk galvanized nails.

Speaking of the 20 th Century-
What's the first bulk packed 22 that you bought?
The first I remember buying was bulk pack Remington.
It was in half pint 'milk cartoons.'
You just opened up the drinking flap and poured out some rounds.
Bought it at Kmart, I think.
