.22 ammo available
CCI Mini-Mags are available at Midway. I just bought a few boxes.
Not sure if this is a Lounge item or an Ammo item but it seems like an ammo forum item to me.

Now that we have sort of a Pro-gun guy coming to Washington I'd thing the .22 ammo crisis has officially ended (at least for now). Prices SHOULD drop as well.

Most local sporting goods stores have more ammo than I've seen the past 4 years, including 22 LR. Prices are still on the high side, but you can at least find it on the shelves. Some of them are even putting it on sale! Hoping things get somewhat back to a normal state and we can relax a bit, before the next election.

Local gun shops have had a pretty good supply for a few months, now. But I have yet to see any in the local WalMart. I don't need any 22, but always wander thru the ammo aisle when I'm in there just to check things out..

Yep, walk into the local Walmart and ask if they have 22 and they just laugh. Sooner or later....

I do the same thing. Never know what you will find. Last week they had some Remington .38 Special on a "price rollback" for $15.00 a box. Needless to say I bought the three boxes they had left.
Local Gander Mountain had plenty of 22lr this week.

Yes there is .22 ammo available without too much looking, but the prices are still double what they should be. Hopefully they will come way down.

I don't think we will see any price reductions given the present circumstances such as production not able to meet demand. Also with the election and promises of new infrastructure spending it is causing commodity prices to increase. So price decreases are probably OK for the table so I would pick up what you need now before the price increases hit. I could be wrong though.

Few things are more ridiculous. Good ole southern run mom and apple pie Walmart can't begin to supply the masses with common .22lr. What? My guess is that they refuse to pay the wholesale price that the ammo companies/distributors demand. Perhaps if Walmart would budge just a little bit we could have some on the shelf each time we go.
But remember, in the Walmart business model, they will completely get rid of and quit carrying products if their vendors won't come down on unit cost and meet Walmart's demands. That's why it's a gamble to fall in love with certain products at Walmart--they'll discontinue something in a heartbeat if it doesn't cut the mustard with the Bentonville whiz kids.

I bought a brick of Federal American Eagle (40 grain solid) at Academy last week for $25 + tax (5 cents per round). They had lots of it, also other brands (CCI, Remington, and Winchester) but the Federal was the lowest priced.
