I have reloaded dummy 30-06 rounds for my M1 with out primers and a couple of holes in the case, and the bullet dyed purple. They work great. See if you have a local reloader that can set you up.

Somewhere I have a 5rd stripper of military 30.06 dummies with the corrugated case. Is that what you are looking for?

Yes. Training my American Legion Rifle Squad in the Post's Springfield Model 1903 Rifles. I am the only member who has training in this rifle. The rest was trained in M-16s. (do I feel old? YES !)

Your best bet would be to have some reloader with .30-'06 dies make some up for you. Resize any .30-'06 brass, leave the primer pocket empty, and load some spitzer (GI-type) .30 FMJ bullets. For good measure, drill a 1/4 hole in the case wall. Very simple to make.
