.....ARE YOU GUYS FAMILIAR WITH UNDERWOOD BRAND AMMO......
I have found that these guys load up to the highest specs allowed and only use premium bullets. Folks that have chronoed various calibers have all come back with faster speeds than given on the box from the manufacturer. I use their 135gr, JHP, 40 cals in my 22 Glock and at 1400 FPS feel like i'm holding a 357 mag with 16 shots. They shoot to point of aim and are very light on recoil. Any negative stuff about this company?

Underwood, along with Buffalo Bore, are the gold standard of ammo manufacturers in my opinion. I like Underwood's pricing better.

I have only shot their 9mm 147gr XTP-HP +P. I did not chrono it so I can't speak to velocity. My over all experience is: accurate, reliable, and no noticeable excess recoil. I recommend them to people. What I like is the price, you can actually practice all day with what you carry. I plan on getting some of their 44 mag.
Don't get me wrong, BB is my favorite company, I just can't afford it all the time.

Underwood is a great company with great ammo!
Located in the woods in SW Illinois. I ordered some ammo online once and specified in store pick up. The owner gave me a tour of the place. Even opened his safe and showtime his test guns.
Excellent quality. Loaded pretty stout!
I've shot lots of the 9mm, .45acp, .38 and .44 special.
I highly recommend Underwood ammo.

Underwood makes a great .38 +P field round. Hard cast Keith 158 grain bullet that goes 1250 fps and generates 555 ft lbs of KE! Their .357 Sig, .357 Magnum, and 10mm Auto cartridges are all very strong and are available with some excellent name-brand bullets to boot. Cost is reasonable and delivery is also. Highly recommended...

Have run a few thousand rounds mostly in 10mm.
The only factory load I will carry in 10mm for defense is Underwood.
Clean, consistent, hard hitting, low flash and less expensive that anything even close in performance for 10 mm nothing else is even close!
Am carrying the 115 grain +P 9mm Gold Dots in a couple of my 3rd gens and always have 180 grain Gold Dot Underwoods in my 1066.
Had one issue where a 115 grain 9mm gold dot was malformed loaded and got through CC. Had to see it to understand how it happened and they made things right. Gets no better in performance or CS than Underwood IMO!!

Exceptional ammo IMO.
Before I started reloading I bought a lot of their 44mag and 357 ammo.
Clean, accurate and packs a punch. I still hunt with their 300gr 44mag XTP's.

Great ammo, great service, great prices. I went over to them from Double Tap once DT started in with their disclaimer of "reserve the right to substitute different bullets" without notice in their loads. No regrets switching.

Have been very happy with Underwoods ammo using the Leighigh solid copper bullets. Now carry them in my 10mm, .38 Super and .380... Plan on trying some of the 9mm, .38 Special and .357 Mag on the next order...

Several years ago I found myself in need of some .44 Specials, but business was so hectic I had no time for the reloading bench. Ordered a case of 240 JHP from Underwood at a decent price. Excellent performance in several revolvers (S&W 29, S&W 1950 Target, S&W 629, Colt Single Action Army).

I have been buying their 10 mm for several years. I also recently started buying their 40 S&W ammo.

yes I am. some loadsshould perform well like the 38 special FBI. load but their loads with say Speer concern me....I'd like to test them one day as the velocities may be too much for gold dot bullets causing early expansion and fragmentation. a 38 with the XTP bullet may actually work better at the vocities they push

I carry Underwood .357sig in both my P320 and P229 Legion; my two primary ED guns. I also carry their 200gr hardcast 10mm in my G20SF hiking gun.
It's annoying that the major players seem to water down their ammo, especially when it comes to 10mm and .357 auto which were rounds designed to fill a niche. Even Sig's very own .357 sig ammo is not loaded to its original specs; they have theirs at 1360fps while Underwood's is 1475fps. I'm sure it's overspeeding the hollow point somewhat, but I'd rather it too fast than too slow.

Over the last couple months I've shot four boxes of Underwood 9MM +P+ just because I could. Good stuff.
A friend shot some of their 700 gr 500 S&W out of his 4" revolver and the bullets were coming uncrimped because of the recoil. He called to let them know and they sent him more ammo! Free!
Excellent service. When you call someone actually answers the phone.
