Anyone have experience with this ammo, I'm looking to buy some in 5.56mm 77 gr , just want to see if any issues were experienced using it.

It's good. Works real good in my 1/7 twist barrel.

IMI stands for Israel Military Industries. They manufacture ammunition and other products for the IDF.
Next question?

A few years back when Federal XM193 was difficult to get, our agency opted for this ammunition. At the time, word on the "errornet" was that it was "hot", unreliable, inconsistent, etc. We shot approximately 7-8K rounds without incident. The few malfunctions we did experience were related to faulty magazines and worn extractors.
Good luck.

I use their 55 and 62 grain loadings in both my colt 5.56 chambered rifles. No problems with loading, firing and excellent accuracy. Weideners sells a variety of 5.56 mm ammo and never had a problem. The old "sampson"brand was one to stay away from so you could get oper pressure excursions, failure to feed and exctract.I even use their brass in 308 and 30-06.Wish Weideners would again start selling their brass. I have a couple bags of IMI 30-06, 7.62match, and I think one bag
5.6.x45. sure wish they'd bring it back. Frank

IMI ammo is as good as or better than any other makers. There should be no argument about that. For reasons unknown to me, I get significantly better grouping performance from reloading IMI .223 military cases than any other brands. I have a special stash of about 200 IMI military cases because of that.

I cannot comment about IMI's rifle ammo but their pistol ammo is, IMHO, excellent quality. Back in the 80's their 9mm Carbine ammo (black and maroon tipped) was hot and worked great in my Glock and my friend's HK94 carbine. I wish they'd start importing this ammo again.

This goes back to over 10 years ago, but I came into a box of 1000 5.56mm IMI military bullets, the 55 grain FMJ type used in the US M193 round. They shot great 5-shot groups, about 3/4 inch at 100 yards, which is absolutely amazing performance for any military bullet.

Israelis live in a dangerous neighborhood
They sort of go a little overboard and treat military stuff as if their lives depended on it
