What's a box of 147gr 9mm Black Talon worth
What do you guys think? I haven't seen the 147 in some time. Is there collector value to this stuff?

People seem to be hoarding it. I think the last time I saw it, they were asking $40-50 a box.

The Winchester Ranger SXT bullets are basically the same as the Talons without the black paint. I wouldn't put much value on them since they are still available in the form of Ranger T ammo today. Both variants are extremely similar to the Talon design but updated for better performance so they are superior.

like ArchAngelCD said. Its just been renamed for the most part. My buddy has hoards of it he got from his dept. A lot of people swear its not the same. Shoots the same for me.

It's only worth what someone is willing to give you obviously. Some believe it has collector value or just to say that they have some. I don't believe it has any more value than any other ammo.

Realistically the same price as other HPs so $20/50. But I'm sure you could find some idiot to pay you more that thinks it is magic ammo

I think people who collect ammo have theirs by now. Everyone else is better off just shooting it. There's a guy at every gun show who has a whole lot of black talon boxes. He's asking something like $50 per box. He's had the same boxes now for probably 5 years if not more. No one buys it because none of these people collect ammo and no one wants to pay that much for SD ammo
