Miracle Time
I'm in Outdoor Warehouse.
I walk back to the guns- ammo.
I look at the Rimfire shelf.
OMG! They have a good selection of several brands and types of 22 Ammo.
After I gawk awhile and discuss the good news with some other customers,
I did get some CCI MiniMags. $8.99 a hundred.
Old Blues Song -
'We got the good times here,
Buts it's better on down the road.'

That is good news. I miss the times where those same 100 rounds of CCI ammo were only $4.99...

Glad you found them. I remember when 4.99 would buy you a 500 round brick and there was a full pallet of them that didn't sell the minute they showed up ! I would get my .50 allowance, buy a box of 50 and dream about the day I would have a 5.00 bill to buy a brick.

I don't quite remember that far back, but I do remember paying $1.59 for a 100 the round yellow plastic boxes with the clear sliding lid.

The Sunday specials at K-Mart, .22's for 100 rounds for $1.29, limit 10 boxes. The line was usually 15-20 deep.

I find it amazing that the ammo shortage was solved by a presidential election.

Pffffft. When I started shooting pistol the gold boxes with sliding lids were 99 cents. I have dozens of those boxes and I have been recycling them for years with ammo from bulk packs.
When Gander Mountain moved in my area if you made ANY purchase and got on their mailing list they would send you a $5 free coupon. I got many a brick for 35 cents (only had to pay the tax).
100 packs are in my local WalMart now for $7.49.
