Default Decent ammo for decent price

I just ordered a 500rd case for $165 "on the porch." This is decent SD ammo at a "plinking" price. Most RNL or FMJ is $15/box + shipping. I do not work for this outfit although I have been doing business with them for over 25 years. Joe

I'd say use a box or two to verify it works well in your revolver, then stash the rest. Wish I could find something like that deal in 9mm.

Not much more in price and far superior ammo

9MM 147GR Federal Premium Tactical HST JHP 50RDS (P9HST2) - Bone Frog Gun Club

I should add I haven't paid $15 a box for 38 special since the height of the panic. Last 38 I ordered was $8.62 a box shipped for WWB

I'll admit that I'm pretty new to finding the really good deals on the internet ammo sites. But if you're finding a 38 special +p hollow point for less than 10 bucks, I'd be really surprised.

Well don't be a bogart dude --- share!
Where do you find 38 special WWB for 17 cents a round? I can't reload it for much less than that - about 10-12 cents a round depending on powder brand and bullet type. At that price, for plinking ammo, I'd just about as soon buy it as put in the time and effort to reload it...

That was what happened to shotgun shells. It got as expensive for the components (especially shot) to reload them as it cost to buy the cheaper factory promotional shells. When you factor in the time, it's better to buy factory shells. That's why I haven't reloaded shotgun shells for years.
