I get a mailer about once a month full of coupons for oil changes, house painting, termite extermination, ventilation duct cleaning, and - a $10 dollar off on any $30 purchase at Big Five. I chuck all of them except for the Big Five one, which I used this month for this box of Nosler 115 grain Match Grade JHP.
Good thing, because I wasn't going to drop 40 bucks on it. 30 was a little easier to swallow.
The ballistics aren't all that impressive. 115 grains at 1170, but I don't like to beat my beloved Hi Power to death so I'm fine with that.
The bullet is almost an FMJ shape, and fed perfectly in my Browning. But everything feeds in my Browning, so no biggie there.
But, oh my goodness, this stuff is accurate! It grouped noticeably better than ball or the 147 grain Gold Dots I had been carrying. and it landed exactly at the point of aim for my gun at 50 feet. Very manageable, with a bit of muzzle flash, but nothing distracting.
I switched to this for now. Anyone else have any experience with it?
