Default Underwood Ammunition

I have been doing some cost comparisons and have found that Underwood Ammo is loaded to the same ballistics as Buffalo Bore® ammunition. (This is in 41 Remington® Magnum). The Underwood offerings are HALF THE COST of Buffalo Bore®!

How is this ammunition as to quality? Please tell me your experiences with Underwood ammunition, even if a different caliber.

Regards...

I have said this numerous times in posts on this forum--I absolutely love thier ammo and it is all we use for carry and hunting. It is outstanding ammo. I don't know how any of the other boutique ammo companies can compete.

Do retail ammo shops carry it? I have never came across that brand at any store around me.

Not that I have ever seen. I order directly from the manufacturer.

I've shot a few hundred rounds of their 9MM 115gr +P+ in recent months. Their quality and service is first class.

A friend had a minor problem with their 500 SW. They weren't aware of the problem until he called them. They have since corrected the problem. Send him new ammo and extras for no charge.

I have used their Xtreme Defender round in 9mm. Great ammo and ballistic test show it makes HP seem puny.

Default Shipping info

First I have heard of Underwood. Comparable velocity and energy with other "artisan" small manufacturer and a great deal cheaper. I think I will try some.

Of note is Underwood has a flat rate ($7.95) shipping for 1 or 10 boxes at least at the ammo I was checking.

I get notices now and then that they'll do free shipping for a limited time on orders of $100 or more.

Their .380 Xtreme Defender really penetrates very impressively and a decent wound channel.

There is a special going on. If ordered before midnight and the ammo totals at least $100, there is free shipping. The coupon code is: SHIP17.

One question (and I suspect I am missing something). Why would you order online from a retailer when you can order online directly from the manufacturer?
