Who has the lowest delivered price on .40 s&w? Update: 08/16/17 See last post.
I'm not looking for anything fancy.
Who's got the best delivered price on .40 s&w blasting ammo?
And secondarily, how about .45 and 9mm?
John?

I found Midwayusa and Lucky Gunner provide reasonable rates.

Target Sports can be beat on occasion but you have to work at it. If you just want the best shot at any given moment and not willing to chase deals and wait to pounce on a sale, Target Sports is probably where you need to be.
At the risk of annoying I must suggest you consider the wonderful world of handloading and yeah, I wouldn't mind offering help in that venture. It's no small venture and it ends up being a hobby that's 100% as involved as guns/shooting but it's extremely rewarding.

My limited computer ability being what it is, Target Sports did appear to be the most consistent option.

I'm not annoyed at all and I'm flattered by the graciousness of your offer.
Sure, you can help.
The truth of the matter is, a couple years ago I purchased a "complete" reloading ensemble (does such a thing actually exist?) from a friend centered around a Square Deal B set up to reload .44 Magnum.
He only loaded a couple boxes in the 20 years he had it and other than buying an incomplete set of SDB .45acp dies, I haven't done anything with it.
I intended to get it up and running but then an election happened and ammo started to become available at reasonable prices.
Which is why I'm looking for cheap, factory built ammo now.
But anytime you want, you're welcome to head on up to the "ridge" and help me get that SDB cranking out rounds.

Haha, well, allow me to be a little more clear on my offer. While I have successfully mentored many folks in handloading, the only ones I have done "hands-on" have been local to me. While I believe my "resume" at the bench supports my ability to help teach it, I admit that I have zero experience with a Dillon Square Deal B. Also, my extremely active work & social calendar (haha) does preclude me from jet-setting to the center of our wonderful nation to help you in person.
I am however more than happy and willing to be available to answer questions, make suggestions and teach basics. I've had a lot of success doing exactly that and I find that it's a fantastic way to "pay in" to a community that I have gotten so much from over many years.
I started handloading at a 16 year old with no mentor, no internet and a Speer#11 and a set of Lee dippers. That was 1989 and what a wonderful trip it's been!
If you wanna chat this up further, shoot me a PM.
Oh, and a quick add to the original post-- the poster above mentioned Outdoor Limited and it occurs to me now that my last ammo buy was from them, they had a SMOKING deal on rimfire and I jumped and I am almost literally swimming in rimfire... for honestly the first time in my life. So... I have to give those guys a thumbs-up also.

I'm lucky enough to live about 20 minutes from Outdoor Limited. Even if I were on the other side of the country, I still think I'd buy most everything from them. When I get those email blasts from others on "incredibly low ammo prices", I usually find Outdoor Limited to be at least 15 or 20% lower. Check 'em out!

Check out SGAmmo. They have deals on ammo, and their
shipping is very reasonable.

^^^ This. SG is my go-to.
Also look for free shipping specials. You'll usually have to buy a case but why not? Shipping is usually the killer when ordering ammo online.

SG or Target Sports USA.
Target Sports USA has free shipping but the total price is usually within a dollar or two from SG

I tout them at every opportunity. Honestly, I have a personal agenda. I live on the other side of town from Outdoor Limited and want to see them succeed and thrive. Imagine how nice it is for me having all that luscious ammo, at such great prices, just 20 minutes away.
Please tell your friends!

I finally got a "good" deal at Gander Mountain.
Went in to my local store (looked like it had been picked over by vultures. Not much left.)
They had some 50rd boxes of Federal American Eagle 40s&w 180gr fmj.
They rang up at $10.19 per box!
I bought all ten boxes and used a $10.00 reward certificate so I got 500 rounds for 20 cents per round (9mm price) with tax included.
Even a blind hog finds an acorn, now and then.
