.45gap out of a .45acp revolver?
My friend has a couple of boxes of .45gap ammo he wants to give me if I can shoot it out of my .45acp revolver.
Does anyone know if this is an option or not a good idea.
Thanks in advance

My recollection from prior discussions is that it is not risky, but will work better with moonclips. I suspect a search of the forum will give you some posts about it.

Depends
I can tell you I had some factory 45 Gap that I shot out of a model S&W M625 Champion Series Jerry Miculek. I read somewhere on this forum you could. You might want to go a search.

Works great, with moon clips.
A while back a buddy and I bought up a bunch of American Eagle 45 GAP from a gun store that was closing. He ran his in a Glock M?? and I ran mine in a S & W 1917 with moon clips. No problems.
