9.3x72D Vintage ammo
i have a very ornate and profusely engraved pre-war German Drilling that is 16x16 (sxs) with a 9.3x72 rifle barrel. Having problems finding vintage ammo ... at least 4 rounds ... to display with it to fill the cartrighe holder built into the stock.
Any ideas where I can find this vintage ammo ? The 1 old round I do have is headstamped, (360) 9.3x72D. Thank you.

A few years ago Double Gun Journal ran a series of articles on the variety of chamberings in these guns.
They included reloading info.

I'm seeking an old, vintage, box of 9.3x72D or E shells. I have one shell only that is a reloaded case with the bullet pressed too far in that the case expanded. It will not fully seat into the perfectly cleaned camber. Tolerances on these old German guns are precise. No room for error. I figure a vintage box of ammo would serve me best.
This Drilling I have is a 1920s production and properly nitro proofed for exact calibers. In fact the 16 gauge interprets to a 2.5" shell but still seats the 2.75" shells.

There is NEW ammo available, per ammo ammoseek, but I'm seeking a vintage box of a major brand factory pack ammo, not reloads.
