Honestly, I cant tell much difference between 158 of one brand vs another. I just dont care for the pointed style , think they are critical defense?

Used it in 9mm, wouldnt hesitate to use it in 357. Hard to find tests, seems every one wants to use the g wiz fancy graphics stuff. But at one time all the 9mm tests I saw showed this to be exactly the same as the 4 times higher priced silver tips other than the brass cases and color. Same penetration same expansion, same same.
for 2 legged threats Id be happy with any standard mainstream bullet coming out of a 3" plus 357 llong as it grouped fairly well.
Id be fine with hardcast SWC or flat nose for that matter.

The cartridges are 110 grain, not 158 grain--my bad.

The reputation for stopping power the .357 gained was based on the
125 gr JHP at 1400 fps from a 4" barrel as I recall. So compare your
110 gr load to the ballistics of the 125 gr load and see how it looks to
you.

The 110 grain JHP 357 Magnum loads tend to expand rapidly, pretty much guaranteed expansion, but due to their light weight, they do not penetrate well. I would not expect them to be the best choice for SD if the perp happened to be wearing heavy clothing or if the bullet had to traverse through a limb, or across the thoracic cavity, or struck bone.

125gn is my bottom line in 357. My Walmart sells the Remington 125gn SJHP for about $35/100.

I feel it is ok. 110 gr is getting lite for caliber, so it won't penetrate the best. Last time I shot some, I recall it having a healthy muzzle blast.
All in all, it should get the job done and is affordable enough, so you can shoot a bunch of it.
