Anyone Here From Southern Oregon? Ammo Question!
I live in Northern Calif. near the Oregon border, (Dunsmuir, near Mt. Shasta), and I can’t order ammo any longer from the internet. I go to Southern Oregon to buy my ammo.
I’m looking for inexpensive .45 Colt range ammo and .12ga. MINI shot shells. There’s nothing here and I’ve been all over Klamath Falls and Medford but to no avail.
Anyone live in Southern Oregon that can give me a lead? Thanks much!

You need to make friends with some firearms/ammo enthusiasts in southern Oregon with whom you can "collaborate" on online ammo purchases. Don't let California get away with what they have done to its citizens with their crazy online ammo purchase restrictions.

Sure am glad I moved from California.
Miss the duck hunting and Salmon fishing in that area, though.
Good luck.

When I had a .45 Colt I never fired a single round of factory ammo, I always cast my own bullets and loaded my own ( I bought fresh brass from Starline). One day I happened to spot a box in a store and out of curiosity checked the price. HOLY SMOKES they was proud of them things!!!
I recommend that you take up reloading. At .45 colt prices you'll quickly pay for the equipment through your savings.
BTW, can you still do online purchases for reloading components in CA?

I just bought 1000 rnds. of 9mm from Grizzly Ammo at the Reno, Nv. gunshow last month. The ammo is actually made in Or., but the show was convenient for me. They sold lots of ammo at the show, mostly to Ca. people. K. Falls has a show coming up April 27-28, and ammo is sold there. I think it is only about 90 miles from your town. You can email me thru this forum if you have any questions.
I changed the above date and the Lakeview show is April 13-14.

They haven't outlawed bullet casting and reloading yet.
You may want to invest in a Lee double cavity mould , hand press and reloading dies while you can still do so legally .
If you can't buy it...make it your self .

Thanks for that Igiveup! Appreciate it. Never thought of gun shows. I’ll be there!

Do you ever visit Vegas? Lots of gun stores there.
I would add to previous posts, in that based upon your situation you should take up reloading.

No. I used to go to Vegas many years ago but it’s a madhouse nowadays and I wouldn’t go near it now. Not my cup of tea anymore!
No, don’t want reload but thanks anyway!

Quoted from above, "I’m looking for inexpensive .45 Colt range ammo..."
Is there even such a thing? .45 Colt ammunition is not often on the shelf at the LGS.
Reno, Nevada surely has some sources for you to investigate, and is a lot closer to you than Las Vegas.
I feel for you. It hurts to live in California these days (from a Cali native who lived there the first 54 years of his life).
