Default Armscor .22 ammo?

Local shop is offering .22lr 36 gr. Armscor ammo for $15 a brick. Any experience with it or is junk? Just using for plinking and hole punching. Not going to hunt grizzly bears.

Probably ok for brown bear. For the price, take a chance and tell us!

My dealer had a good deal on it a couple of months ago so I gave it a try. It performed very well in all my 22’s, both revolvers and autos, with no misfires or FTF or FTE’s. It was very clean as well and accurate. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more.

Never tried the 22L.R. but did try the 40 grain 22 magnum in my Marlin and Ruger American. Lousy to say the the least. Shots did not group nearly as well as CCI.

The local farm store had some on sale for 15 bucks per 500.Tried 'em and kinda dirty shooting. Didn't buy more. First of this month They had a good price after rebate on Winchester. Had so much trouble with Winchester I only bought 100. 50 cents after rebate, Absolutely sucked. They also had Remington T bolts. 14 per 500. Granddaughter and I shot them up with no problems...accurate too. So I bought a couple more. Sale ends on the end of the month. Going to buy 2 more bricks. As long as it is the same lot number. Anyway T bolts have been "problematic" in the recent past. I usually buy the Federal 550 packs for slightly under 20 bucks a box or slightly under 3 1/2 cents each. The Rem T Bolts are right at 2.8 cents each. Just plinking ammo and stuff to get G-daughter tuned in with handgun shooting. She is going to take her CC class soon. Armscor is ok in a real pinch I guess

The Armscor 22LR that I’ve fired has all been fine.

I’ve found Remington Thunderbolts to be the dirtiest 22’s that I’ve shot. They will foul my revolvers in less than 50 rounds to the point you can’t close the cylinder. Autos aren’t as much of a problem but there’s still far more fouling than any other brand that I’ve used.

For cheap plinking ammo I’ve been using Federal Red Box 550 rounds from Walmart. They run under $20 a box and are reasonably accurate, function perfectly in a half dozen 22 guns I own and are about as clean as Ive seen.

It shoots well enough in a S&W M22A.

I bought a brick of that ammo at $16/500 and ran about half of it through my M&P 22 compact and the other half through my M&P 15-22, which was brand new.

I had no problems with the pistol but did have a couple malfunctions with the rifle. With the rifle being new I'm thinking it may work better after breaking in, but in any case for plinking it works good enough to suit me at that price. I was paying more than double that for CCI's.

I didn't think that either gun was particularly dirty after a couple hundred rounds.

I purchased a case of it during the Obama days. The only .22 available anywhere in these parts. My wife drove a hundred miles and got it from an individual seller, not a store. The ammo has preformed very will, with no issues in any of the guns used.

It's been maybe 10 years back, bought several bricks cheap at a gun show, no complaints.

Have had no issues with it. Runs just fine through a Mark III.

its made in America, in a modern factory, have been using it for plinking for awhile, I usually add a brick every time I order ammo from outdoor limited, hole punching, in paper, cans, varmints runs flawlessly in my Remington 552, my 15-22, my winchester74, of course my 39as will run anything,i want own Winchester 22, I hate it, I love cci and some ely for target work, but for 3 cents a round it works fine

Armscor and Aguilla perform great and are very accurate in my AR conversion and both 4 and 6 inch 17-6s. Federal 550 bulk patterned like a shotgun and I several squibs.

Armscore .22 mag runs good in my PMR30. I cannot use it in my NAA mini revolver though. The owners manual specifically says not to run it.
