Default 7.62x54r

Can anyone tell me anything about some bulk 7.62x54r ammo with "TSS" and "76" headstamps? Recently acquired a Mosin M44 and a guy locally has some of this bulk ammo for sale. Tried a quick interwebs search, but no real luck finding any info on those headstamps. Hoping someone here is better at internet searches than I am. Really just curious to know how old this ammo might be and if it is Russian or what. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

FWIW, the Russian target ball (that we were getting for, I think, $34.95/440 back in the mid Nineties) is amazingly accurate.

Thanks. I looked there, but don't see those stamps listed anywhere on that site. Thanks anyway.

If its the silver tipped copper washed stuff, its standard 147 grain light ball.

76 is the year it was made. If you can send me a picture of the head stamp I can identify it for you.
