Default My Thanks to Member MarineSgtjimh!

Our fellow member MarineSgtjimh recently offered a cartridge karma, and I was blessed enough to win. He not only let me pick out the caliber I wanted, but he also included a couple extra cartridges as well, and also a novel that looks like a very good read.

The photo is the cartridge I won (.44 caliber pin-fire), a 5mm Velo-Dog, and the tiniest shotshell (rimfire!) I've ever seen. I shot them next to a .38 Special for size comparison. These are now truly the most unique pieces of my collection.

My thanks again to MarineSgtjimh!

The base is .225", so I'm thinking it's for a .22 Magnum.

Thank you RobertJ. The shot shell was for a garden or salon gun. Mainly for small rodents and other pests. The Velo Dog was for shooting dogs chasing bikes. Probably not allowed today.

Looks like it would be good for carpenter bees too.

It's a 6mm Flobert Shotshell, they were designed for Garden Guns, which were breach-loading, single-shot smoothbore shotguns and pistols used for pest control.

Basically, think of a .22LR shotshell with a bigger payload.
