Didn’t look back at your previous post, so apologies if you already mentioned it. Local range guys seem to be struggling too.

Range time is way down. People either can’t get ammo or are conserving what they have.

Rentals are way down. Nobody wants to pay $30 a box or more for pistol ammo (if the range even has the ammo).

Target sales are way down since nobody is usimg the range.

Seems like they had an initial surge selling guns, then it just fell off a cliff.

Are the shelves empty because everything that comes in goes to someone that prepaid for it or because nothing is coming in?

I don't own a gun store but haven't heard of any gun or ammo manufacturers shutting down due to the pandemic.

I'm not seeing this in my area, the ranges are very busy.

I would rather see retailers raise their ammo prices to the point where it is not profitable to be bought up and hoarded or scalped elsewhere at a higher price. Then, at least, there could be ammo on the shelf at the stores.
The retailers should take the profit. They are the ones getting it in, paying for licensing, advertising and maintaining a store front. And, hopefully, the idiocy of panic buying, hoarding and scalping will subside sooner... well probably not, we all being human.
