As usual, we'll be staying OFF the election, November, Democrats, racial issues, martial law, etc.
Or, I can lock it.
Your choice. ;)

Found this posted on another forum and thought I would post here eliminating contact information. I kinda hope he chokes on it myself.

"We don't usually sell ammo but got an opportunity to buy a shipment. We paid through the nose but are trying to price it as competitively as possible. The market just sucks right now.

Not interested in selling in smaller quantities than listed. We don't ship and this ammo is at our office in ******** ready to sell. All prices are cash/check. Credit cards are +3%.

Yeah those are crazy asking prices. Some may just pay them though. Back when the other guy was Pres a lot of folks paid $2000 or more for $500 AR-15s too.

Even though I'm in a pretty rural area there's LOTS of 9mm back on the shelves at normal prices. One store had Winchester white box 200 round value packs for $54.00 ..... limit THREE!

...like they say, supply and demand at work. And by the way, a fool and their money are soon parted, I think Mark Twain said.

In the panic buying that took place in early 2013, after Sandy Hook, I remember a GunBroker auction for 100 AR-15 thirty-round mags...the "winner" paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $8000 for them...

This is reminiscent of the 22 long rifle drought several years back. There was a guy selling 22 long rifle and his prices were ludicrous.

The 22 long rifle drought ceased and the guy dropped his prices, no one bought anything. Hopefully he had 22 long rifle rounds in his breakfast bowl instead of corn flakes.

I have had a couple of people let me know that they have some 5.56 for sale at around $650 per 1000,glad I have more than enough but I am not shooting much until things improve.

Scored four bricks of 22 lr and a case of .223 yesterday. The rimfire was normally priced....the .223, not so much.

Carry On!

Reports of an Indiana gun show seller bagging 9mm in sandwich bags at a buck a round. I have no problem with that as it gives those that failed to prepare an option. I'd pay it if I had none but fortunately I'm loaded. ;)

You'd think with the ammo shortage firearm sales would be hurting.

I know when .22lr was so high, many folks in my area all but stopped buying .22lr caliber anything.

WOW is right.

I'm in pretty good shape myself but I would like more .45 ACP ammo.

A good friend of mine told me to never worry as he has more .45 ACP than both of us can ever shoot.

At a dollar per round I think I would sell off some of mine too!

This reminds me of some older guys I worked for when I was young. They would have a nice car or something of value. People would ask if its for sale. They would answer, everything is for sale for the right price.

I guess its the same with ammo today, sure its for sale but...

WalMart still has 22LR at "normal" prices, same as they were a year ago, on the Federals that I buy.

But, they had a box of 20, 7mm Mags, the other day for $53.87 plus 10% tax.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

It is his ammo but his greed put the quality of his character in question. I would never pay someone to take advantage of me. I wouldn't by from him now or ever in the future.

The assumption is prices will normalize, well how many thought the pandemic would happen?

Normalcy bias is a wonderful thing till reality smacks you up side the head.

The only issue I see is not having ammo when you need it and that's a call we all make individually.

I've noticed on the local gun buying boards people are selling ammo at ridiculous prices . One guy was selling 45 sd rounds at a dollar each . I seriously doubt it's guys that have been in the gun world for a while . It's like a hurricane down here , someone is always out to sc*** someone else .

Pistol ammo is really hard to find around here. When Academy gets it in, it's still at regular prices. It disappears fast.
Dunham's and a farm and ranch store that sells ammo have raised their prices, but their shelves are just as empty.
But, we have our greedy sellers too. Alot are on Armslist offering ammo at high prices. Some are pretty brazen about it. One guy has a box of .380 posted. The picture shows the price tag of $17.99 but he has it posted on sale for $50.

Supply-demand kind of thing. Quite frankly, the people who were blind to the past antics of a certain political party...that hires street thugs to intimidate and harm non-compliant people and their property....are going to have to pay.
Many of those who are now paying dearly for ammo didn't want to pay attention to those 'tin-foil-hat wearers' and 'ammo hoarders'.
I feel sorry only for the young people who are now becoming of age to purchase guns and ammo.

The Hornady Critical Duty price is same as Midwayusa. 'Cept Potterfield don't got none.

I can remember seeing a seller back then trying to sell .22 Long Rifle shells at $80 per brick. The operative word is "trying", because I never saw the stack getting any smaller.
