Default Rogers Sporting Goods Ammo

I bought the following 9mm, Free Shipping over $100:

Hornady Critical Defense 115gr. $29.95 box 25 Several

Blazer Brass 115gr. Case 1000ea. $469

Not the old prices we liked but better than most. I probably won't get to shoot what I already have but the shooters in my family will have them. Just a little insurance.

Definitely better than most prices around here. Seems the local online prices for 9mm have spiked in the last week ranging from $450-$750 (1000 rounds). 223/556 about the same as before. Not a lot of other ammo around except 22LR and 45acp.

Wow! Thank God there was a period between panics when prices were reasonable! Sincerely. bruce.

Default just like lobster!

Ammo around here is not only scarce...it is simply non existent in most all calibers. Yesterday's scrounge trip (you know..make the rounds just to see) showed completely bare shelves, except for about 8 boxes of 454 Casul. In the rifle category, clerk was just opening a case of .223 and customers were standing in line just waiting till he pulled one (1) box and handed to them (daily limit). Took maybe 10 minutes to clean out the 2 cases he had brought out, none ever touched the shelves.

I'm OK on ammo so just watching but the usual 1 box per customer per day sign is now accompanied with another handwritten....."9 mm is market priced...ask at checkout".

In other words it is just like ordering lobster at a fine restaurant. Menus are aslways marked "market price". So now the other old saying comes into play....If you have to ask what "market" price is, you can't afford it anyway.

Crazy times we live in.

The firing ranges around here have been out of .40 and 9mm for weeks. I would have to be DESPERATE to pay 50 cents each for 9mm Blazer 115 grain. (I guess some people are desperate.)

That’s about where I am... anything over about $.25/round and it’s time to start reloading my own.

I inherited everything I need to do so, but have better things to do with my time until the ammo price intersects the value I place on my time. I’m thinking I may pull all of the reloading stuff out and get it organized since I’m down to about 500 rounds of the stuff I got for $.15-.20/ round when Wally World was politically un-Woke.

Where do you all think the prices and availability will be if?
I am supposed to pick up my Lyman Turret Press this weekend. I had loaned it to my now deceased brother. There is supposed to be some 9 ad 45 ammo and components. We have plenty of 38/357 stuff.
Where I live it will not be easy to set up to reload but I am going to try.
