22 ammo
So I remember a few years ago there was a thread on where to buy 22 ammo. Anybody doing this now? Anything on ammo or reloading components would be fantastic.

The companies are making as fast as they can. There are too many people that don't share, and buy all they are able, whenever it hits the store. I have an accumulation acquired over a long period of time by buying a brick or two when the opportunity was available. If everyone would buy what they "needed" (plus a similar backup) and not hoard, there would be plenty for all.

OFFICIAL (IN STOCK) 22LR AMMO THREAD
This is the thread that I was thinking of. It was closed three years ago. I scored a lot of 22 off this. For what ever reason if I click on a link anywhere on the S&W web page it does not work.

I guess it's time to start another one. That last shortage I bought a lot of 22's from Cabela's, you could only but one brick a day, I used to wait until 11:45 pm and check their site, they usually had some, I would wait 15 min go back on and buy another brick.

Nice if one lives in a state where ammo can be shipped. Been scoring CCI 40 grain 22 magnum for $10 per fifty rounds at Walmart. LGS near me had Hornady but at $19 per box of fifty!

Last week Walmart had Mini mags in the 100 pack for $7.82. Today they had 50 packs of Blazer for $2.58. I did leave a few for the next guy.

It’s out there but goes fast. I picked up 1000 rounds of Aguila super extra 40g, 2 500 round boxes, this morning for $65 at Sportmans Warehouse.

Back during the previous 22 LR drought a fellow had some connections, 22 LR was being shipped to a couple big box stores but never making it out of the receiving room. I was put in contact with him, his prices were astronomical. Fast forward a bit, 22 LR was on the shelves again and he is contacting everyone desperate to sell off his stash, umm nope.

Saturday early shopping, 7:05 am, at the local Walmart; on a whim I asked the gal in Sporting Goods, if they had any 22's. She said yes, and had an assortment of CCI Min-Mag HP's, and Blazer in what looked like pint milk cartons. I'm ok on 22's, but bought two of the mini-mag packs for exactly $7.82 per pack.

I wonder if it is in the pipeline again. Last time I ask a sporting goods clerk at Wal-Mart if they had any .22 he laughed and said he hadn't seen any in months!
I have given up looking for any ammo. Last shortage of .22 I would go to the local stores at opening, knew when the truck came and get my two box limit of whatever they had that day. Ended up with CCI velocitors, stingers, green tag, pistol match, etc.
Decided I wasn't going to do that again. Have about 1100 rounds of 22LR on hand. Enough for awhile.
